The Challenge

Having a huge customer base, client was facing extreme difficulties in generating invoices for booked flights. For a better data management, client was clear they did not want to process invoices using the generic accounting applications.

Since client has already established an inhouse data centre, they were more interested in building an inhouse automated invoicing system.

The Process

We proposed an inhouse desktop application which would contain some ‘listener’ modules to detect records generated by the GDS system. For each confirmed booking, the system should generate a draft invoice which could be confirmed by the client and sent to the customer via email.

We dedicated one of our desktop applications developer to design a prototype for better illustration.

The Result

  • An inhouse desktop application built to auto-generate invoices.
  • A seamless process built to generate and store invoices.
  • A reporting module to generate reports for specified period.
  • Financial viewability improvements for the business.
